Chapters 39 and 40 Summary

Newt and the others continue to argue back and forth about whether Newt is going to stay or go. Some of the other Cranks get involved in the argument. Newt picks up a launcher and starts aiming it at various people to get them to leave. Thomas finally agrees to leave Newt there.

As the group leaves, the Cranks taunt them. Some guards come running around the corner, yelling at the Munies to run as well. The guards don't even have their guns. Then they see a crowd of Cranks chasing them. The group makes it back to the Berg. Jorge lifts the Berg off the ground.
