Chapters 27 and 28 Summary

Brenda tells Thomas they have control of him and that he has to fight it. Minho encourages Thomas to fight it off too. Thomas cannot talk or control his own body. The only thing he can do is anything that prohibits the implant from removal. This includes Thomas picking up a knife to try to harm Hans.

When Thomas throws the knife, it strikes Hans, causing a gash in Hans's arm. They end up dragging Thomas into the procedure room Hans has set up in his apartment. While Thomas is unconscious, he dreams. Teresa is in his dream. In the dream they feel guilty for doing something they were ordered to do.

When Thomas wakes up, Minho is sleeping in a chair nearby. Minho verifies that they are both fixed, but that Thomas wigged out big time. Thomas says he remembers...
