Chapter 5 Summary

Thomas is taken aback by the knowledge that he's going to have all of his memories back, including those from his boyhood. Minho lashes out at Rat Man, threatening to break Rat Man's nose. Rat Man says there are consequences for harming him. He also says he's sorry for those they've lost but that it's all worth it to save the human race.

They leave the auditorium and Rat Man leads them to a locked room, through to another locked room and into a chamber with beds and masks. Rat Man says this is how they'll remove the swipe devices from their brains.

Thomas starts to think about the people they know who have been killed and ponders again if he really wants to remember everything. Rat Man confirms they won't be able to talk telepathically any longer once the swipe is removed...
