Chapters 65 and 66 Summary

After the crash, Jimmy looks up and sees his mother's lifeless body lying on the pavement. When Jimmy reaches Tracy, she tells Jimmy to get Lisa and run. When Jimmy asks Tracy why she did it, she tells him it's because she loves him. Jimmy runs back, gets Lisa and Brad, and they take off running into the woods. When Bill wakes up, he pushes Beth off of him. He drives away as Beth asks if he's just going to leave Tracy lying there. Jimmy gets them through the woods and plans to go to a payphone so that he can call Jake. Lisa sees that Jimmy is crying. When she asks him why, he says he's just thinking about the lady and the cop.
