Chapters 15 and 16 Summary

Bill calls the kids that are part of the burglary ring into the meeting room adjacent to his office. He tells them Jimmy was arrested and that he's going to serve adult time. He says Jimmy won't talk to protect his sister. Bill also tells them he plans to put Lisa to work in Jimmy's place to keep her quiet.

Beth is upstairs working, but she can see Jimmy watching TV downstairs. He sneaks to the phone. Stella, the housemother for the girls' area answers. When he asks for Lisa in a disguised voice, Stella recognizes him. He hangs up and thinks that Lisa must think he abandoned her like everyone else in their lives has.
