Chapters 47 and 48 Summary

Tracy scoots to the end of her hospital bed. She pulls out the IVs and the oxygen mask off her face. She decides she's going to go up to a higher floor and throw herself out of the window. The problem is that she doesn't have the strength to walk. When the nurse finds Tracy, she orders her back in bed and puts the IV back in and the oxygen mask back on her face.

Larry calls Tony from where he's watching Bill Brandon. Larry says Bill walked out and to a storehouse, where the green van Jimmy told them about is parked. Tony sees the judge coming out of the courthouse. Tony follows the judge who makes a phone call from a pay phone at a gas station. Tony has a police officer trace the call and call him back...
