Chapter 26 Summary

Odd returns to the reception area. He has never encountered these kind of spirits. Odd tells Sister Angela that Brother Constantine was murdered. His reluctance to leave this world is because he fears for the Abbey brothers. Odd tells Mother Superior that the murderer came back for Brother Timothy and how he tried to hang him (Odd) in the bell tower. Odd tells her the murderer is someone he knows. Brother Constantine must have witnessed something before he was killed. Maybe Brother Timothy as well. Odd asks her to keep the children safe and to fortify and defend the indoor space.
