Chapter 11 Summary

Odd thinks he should talk to the police, but Brother Knuckles convinces him not to. Odd has a gift that not all will understand, and "we need you here." Odd can't argue with that logic.

When they get to the guest house, Elvis is waiting for Odd. He has been with Odd off and on since his death. He really wants to see his mother, Gladys, but is afraid he let her down. Elvis isn't easy to convince that his mother loves him regardless, and he should have no fear of a reunion.

Chapter 11 Analysis

Brother Knuckles helps Odd to see that talking to the police is a mistake. He reminds Odd that while those who knew him accepted his gifts as they were, and worked with Odd on occasion, there were many out there who wouldn't share this enthusiasm. The police here...
