St. Bartholomew's Abbey

Located in California and surrounded by the Sierra Nevadas, St. Bartholomew's Abbey is where Odd Thomas secrets himself. Needing to escape the responsibilities associated with his life, and the complications that seeing dead people can bring into it, Odd is staying at the Abbey as their guest. On the east side of the Abbey are the guest house cloisters, where Odd stays, and on the west side of the Abbey, which also contains the church, are the novitiates' quarters. Past those sleeping quarters, and down the sloping meadow is the St. Bartholomew's School. In the school is the convent, where the nuns who teach the students live.
