Chapter 38 Summary

Part of Odd hopes that he is the only one who can see the monsters, but that hope is quickly dispelled. Rodion lurches to a halt as a structure of bones as big as two horses running nose to tail, lumbers across the road in front of him and out of sight over the embankment. Odd wants to get inside, but Rodion's SUV blocks the way. Brother Knuckles honks the horn, and Rodion rolls forward slowly, but before he can get anywhere, the creature is back displaying much more malevolent intention. With pincered extrusions, it reaches forward, grabs Rodion's SUV and tips it on it's side.

Chapter 38 Analysis

Odd often wishes he wasn't the only one who sees what he does, but right now, he hopes he is alone in his vision of the bones. He doesn't get to hope for long as the Brother's exclaim in one fashion or another....
