Chapter 9 Summary

Too tired to care about where Boo had been hiding, Odd climbs into bed and falls asleep. He dreams that a bodach is standing in front of him, but it morphs into the Russian guest who reads aloud the card that is framed on the nightstand, "YOU ARE DESTINED TO BE TOGETHER." It was more important than air to Odd.

The dream continues as memories of Stormy overwhelm, and he wakes after less than four hours of a sleep. The framed card was now face down on the nightstand. He checks the chair under the door handle and the latch on the window. Both are secure. Out the window he sees three police cruisers and men searching the grounds.
