Chapter 8 Summary

Odd tells Brother Knuckles the entire episode, beginning with the bodach he and Boo saw. Odd tells him about the scream and about the unconscious monk. Brother Knuckles agrees to do an unofficial bed count. He will tell Odd in the morning. He asks if Odd knows how long they have before something happens; Odd estimates a day or two. After Brother Knuckles leaves, Odd braces a chair under the door.
