Chapter 37 Summary

Alleline and Bland also arrive at the house. Polyakov demands that his diplomatic status be respected. Haydon seems indifferent to the events taking place. Smiley confronts them by playing the tapes. Lacon, Esterhase and Fawn arrive. Smiley's point of view was that Haydon was the one way they could reach Karla. The group of four with Polyakov discuss the situation and they announce that they will meet again at the house in three days to give Polyakov time to consult his superiors. Then the departures began.
