Hog's Hollow

Hog's Hollow is a small town where Penny's mother grew up. It is the town where Penny and her mother move and open a cupcake bakery when her parents separate. The town is also the setting for the entire novel. It is such a small town that everyone knows everyone else there and everyone knows everyone else's business there.

The town holds an annual festival, where they crown a queen. Penny's mother won all four years she was in high school. Penny wins the float design for the festival parade and Tally wins First Runner-up as Queen. Charity wins queen. The novel never states where Hog's Hollow, but is somewhere along the east coast shore because it has a beach.
