Chapter 23 Summary

Penny goes to Tally's house to apologize and tell Tally that her parents are divorcing. Tally shows penny an envelope she sent to her father with a "Refused. Return to Sender" stamp on it. When Penny gets home, she tells her mom she's staying.

Chapter 23 Analysis

Tally has finally come to terms about her father and his leaving her behind for his own life. Penny realizes that where she truly belongs is right where she is—in Hog's Hollow with her mother and Gram.
