Chapter 3 Summary

On the drive home, Lizzie is very agitated. They unload the equipment at the bakery and then head to Gram's house, where they are living for now. When they arrive, Penny heads down to the shore. While she is gone, she thinks about how her parents separated and then how her dad moved out. Shortly after her dad left, she and her mom moved to Hog's Hollow for the summer. Now, it's extending past the summer. When Penny returns to the house, she overhears her mother telling Gram everything that happened, and the two women start laughing. Gram mentions she is surprised Eugenia Wharton asked Lizzie to do the cupcakes after everything that happened.
