Chapter 21 Summary

As the rain pours down on Hog's Hollow, Penny is busy decorating cupcakes for the Thanksgiving orders. She tries to talk to her mom about the separation but she wimps out. Tally calls Lizzie to ask for advice. Lizzie confesses to Penny that she was Hog's Hollow Queen and then she and Gram tell Penny funny stories about being in the pageant. Lizzie helps Tally pick out a dress for the pageant. When Penny goes to hang it in Tally's closet she notices that Tally's closest is empty. Penny goes to the kitchen, where she finds Poppy wrapping a witch ball. She describes to Poppy what the winter trees look like in Central Park and Tally overhears. Penny finds out Tally hasn't heard from her father in three months. When Penny gets home, Miss Beans calls her to tell Penny her float design...
