Chapter 5 Summary

Tally and Penny walk to the bank to exchange the pennies for bills. On the way, Tally tells her Charlotte, one of Charity's friends, owns the bank, so that's how they got so many pennies. Another friend, one of the Lindseys works in the front office, which is how they got her locker combination. Penny sees the boy from the beach talking to another boy from school while they're walking. On the bank wall, she sees old pictures of the town and finds out her mother was once Miss Hog's Hollow. The girls cash in the pennies for $75. Tally says she wants something chocolate, so Penny takes her to The Cupcake Queen. The girls exchange stories on how they wound up in Hog's Hollow. Tally's mom left when she small and her dad is a musician, so she stays with her Aunt Poppy...
