Chapter 12 Summary

The first obstacle the group comes to is a bank-like safe door with a combination lock. Shan thinks like Steve to decipher the number code and the door opens. The first person they run into is RV, who is the same person who has Debbie. RV says he'll trade Debbie's life for Shan's life, but Shan refuses.

Chapter 12 Analysis

The combination lock door is just the first of the many obstacles the group faces on their journey to find and kill the Lord of the Vampaneze. Shan's being a former friend of Steve Leopard will continue to come in handy because Shan will be able to think like Steve as the group makes their trek through the tunnels.
