Chapter 6 Summary

A new officer steps in the cell and begins questioning Shan. He asks Shan if Harkat will die without his mask from breathing normal air. When Shan confirms this, Dave, the new officer, blackmails Shan—telling him if he admits his true identity and what his two friends are that they will give Harkat his mask back. Dave also divulges to Shan that they have Leonard in treatment in the medical wing, which tells Shan that they have to recapture Steve as a hostage prior to escaping. As the officers continue to question Shan, there is a rush of officers in the hall outside the cell. One of the female officers tells Dave that Leonard has escaped.
