Chapter 3 Summary

The army and cops have surrounded the building. The officer in charge is a woman, Alice Burgess. Leonard tells the group that they think they are responsible for killing all of the humans. Burgess tells them to release Leonard and then come out behind him. The group decides to jump out the window and run away instead.

Chapter 3 Analysis

The group jumping out the window foreshadows a gun fight between the cops, soldiers and the vampires. It foreshadows that some of the vampires might be wounded before they can get away, which will decrease the number of hunters that can track down the Lord of the Vampaneze.
