Chapter 10 Summary

The three take to the rooftops to escape until they reach a silo. They take refuge in the silo. Crepsley's leg is bruised now all the way up to his knee and his skin is a dark pink color from the sun. Shan works at picking the locks of his handcuffs and Crepsley helps him. Shan finds some canned beans in the silo office that he and Crepsley eat. Harkat isn't hungry. They have a discussion on whether evil is something you are born with or that you choose to be. Crepsley tells Shan that he has to forget about freeing Debbie and focus on killing the Lord when they are in the tunnels. Shan says he doesn't know if he can do that.
