Chapter 34 Summary

Sergeant Sadler makes his way through the Platoon Troop Tent, telling the men to get going. They have a war to fight. He looks for Snake and finds him. He tells him the enemy will probably attack An Hoa, so Snake's men should move in around midnight. There will be other troops joining them to hone in on the enemy.

Later, the men are dropped in the fields with eight hours to go until the fighting would begin. Hodges points to a clearing and tells Snake to get Sadler to take his men in that direction. Hodges makes his way over to the combat base bunker where Kersey sits inside, keeping dry while it rains outside.
