Chapter 27 Summary

The men continue walking through villages after the elephant grass ambush. After three weeks of walking, Cat Man spots a piece of green metal at the end of one of the villages. It's unnatural looking to him. He'd been dubbed the name Cat Man for his cat eyes that saw everything. It's a bomb, and Sergeant Sadler knows that the enemy uses old abandoned bombs for ammunition. They will have to detonate it, so he calls in for a bomb engineer, who arrives within a few minutes.

Baby Cakes and Ogre stay with the engineer and help him dig under the bomb. They need it to be higher so they can light it from below. The rest of the men are ordered out of the danger zone. Once they are out of range, they hear a great big boom. Snake looks for Ogre...
