Summary

In Chapter 3, Luna and Blue spend time at the Mosaic Garden, where the Salvation mosaic depicts the end of the war. Blue hates there are so many dead SilkWings in the image, but Luna finds comfort in the number of dead LeafWings. Blue knows “they should all be grateful to the HiveWings for saving the SilkWings from the vicious green tribe” (42). Considering the HiveWings have the Book of Clearsight, Blue is certain the outcome of the war was already certain. Luna wonders what the book reveals about their futures. In the afternoon, Luna decides to go to the Cocoon, the room where the SilkWings undergo Metamorphosis. The Cocoon is filled with weaving done by the dragons after Metamorphosis.
