Chapter 14 Summary

Moira approaches Blair; they need to capture a vampire or two in order to demonstrate how they fight. Until the people of Geall see such a demonstration, they will not understand nor believe what is being asked of them. Blair volunteers and Cian and Larkin join her. Larkin knows the territory, and Cian and Blair are best suited for the demon hunt. As they ride into the night they speculate on who the vampires are and why Moira's mother was the first victim. It appears that the vampires were sent by Lilith and are trying to lie low, indicating that they somehow displeased Lilith. They made a mistake. They were supposed to have killed Moira, not her mother. Because they killed the wrong person, Lilith will be displeased, so they choose to remain in Geall, feeding as necessary.
