Chapter 8 Summary

The remaining Circle of Six wait at the house for Larkin to return from his mission. Morning has come and Larkin's continued absence is alarming. As they wait, Cian again wonders aloud why Blair finds it so hard to admit that she cares for Larkin. Blair finds her job of being the one to stay at home and wait to be the most difficult one she has ever had. She asks Cian what Lilith will do to Larkin and the answer chills her. Cian tells her in graphic detail of how she would torture and torment Larkin; her methods so painful that no human can withstand it.
