Chapter 12 Summary

Cian is doubtful that the cloak Hoyt and Glenna have created will truly protect him from the sun; however, they have no time to test its effectiveness before they are due to go through the Dance of the Gods. Glenna implores Cian to wear it, and for her he agrees to try. They are out of time; they know the journey to the Dance of the Gods will be dangerous, which prepares them. Lilith is sure to know that they are on the move, alerted by their previous trip for supplies; Lilith attacks them before they gain the safely within the spell of the Stonehenge-like stones. They are only mildly injured in the attack, and Larkin's change to a dragon form carries Moira and Blair to the portal just as Hoyt and Glenna arrive on Vlad, which is Cian's stallion.
