Chapter 7 Summary

As a hawk, Larkin sets off for Lilith's hideout to see what he learn. As Larkin circles over the house, he sees the vampire's van. A side job only, but Larkin lands, changes into a unicorn and punctures the tires of the van, since Blair had told him the function of the tires. He continues on his flight as a hawk and uses the solitude to think about Blair. She is such a mix of hard and soft, of strength and openness. She is a mystery to him, but he finds it very appealing. Approaching Lilith's lair, Larkin is initially alarmed because he sees a woman and a boy on the beach in the moonlight and fears for their safety until he sees that the woman is Lilith, and the boy is her vampire son, Davey.
