Chapter 4 Summary

Chapter Four opens with Blair and Glenna talking about their encounter. Glenna wishes desperately that they could have transported more of Lilith's captives from her cages to the hospital. But Blair argues with her that they had expended most of their energy; even Glenna admits that she thought they had lost Moira because the magic was simply too strong. Blair admits to Glenna that she thought she and Larkin were outnumbered and in trouble. She shares her feelings about Larkin's beauty as a dragon. On her way upstairs to her room, Blair encounters Cian and reflexively reaches for her stake. They both accept her action as natural; he is a vampire and she a vampire hunter.
