Chapter 20 Summary

After his first session with Dr. Petersen, Gideon arrives at Eva's apartment. Eva senses the tension and wariness between them. Gideon mentions not knowing how they'll ever fall asleep beside each other again and that they have a lot of baggage between them. He also asks if Nathan has ever tried to contact Eva. Eva says no but it's also one of her fears.

Over dinner, Gideon tells Eva Magdalene had lunch in his office with him yesterday. Gideon says he showed Magdalene the video, which he admits to taking off of Eva's phone. This enrages Eva and she tells him that they have to have boundaries. She asks how Magdalene took it and Gideon says she was hurt when she saw the look on Christopher's face because then she knew she was being used. They talk about Gideon's session. Gideon says the...
