Chapter 18 Summary

The next morning, Eva and Gideon are riding to work. She's wearing the clothes and shoes he bought for her to wear she stays at his house. He also managed to fill her bathroom drawers at his house with a duplicate of her makeup from her own home. On the ride to work, Eva receives a text and video from Cary.

The video shows Christopher Vidal having sex with Magdalene in some bushes at the Vidal estate. They are talking about Gideon and how Magdalene thinks that he really loves Eva. Gideon says that Christopher always wants what he has. Eva starts to feel sorry for Gideon, that he wasn't loved when growing up. She tells Gideon she loves him.
