Chapter 14 Summary

The next day at work, Eva doesn't hear from Gideon. She thinks it might be because he is meeting with Mark to go over the RFP for the vodka account. The receptionists calls Eva to tell her that Magdalene Perez is in the lobby for her. Eva calls Gideon's office and gets Scott.

Scott says it's a standing order to interrupt Gideon if Eva calls, or take care of whatever Eva needs. Eva asks Scott to come escort Magdalene up to Gideon's office because whatever Magdalene has to say to Eva should really be directed at Gideon. On her way to lunch, Christopher Vidal greets Eva outside. He offers to go to lunch with her and invites her to a party his parents are throwing. He says it should be good for Cary to network.
