Chapter 4 Summary

Eva realizes that it is Scott, Gideon's secretary, on the intercom telling him that his two o'clock appointment is here. Gideon tries to make a plan for them to see each other after work, but Eva says she's busy. Gideon follows Eva into the elevator and continues trying to arrange time, until they settle on Monday for lunch.

Eva returns to work a little late, but Mark tells her not to worry because he just returned from a meeting anyway. She works the rest of the day until her mom calls to let her know that she left her cell phone at Stanton's office and that they dropped off with the concierge in Eva's building.
