Summary

Patch watches a new and improved prison being built from his own cell in 1998. A librarian named Cooper works at the prison. A guard named Blackjack tells Patch that he thought he knew him. In Chapter 188 Patch looks at the scene he painted on the warden’s wall as he tells Warden Riley that he wants to establish a library service for the men on death row, those on C Level. Saint gets a call in Chapter 189 from Charlotte’’s school. She pulled a boy’s shoulder out when he touched her inappropriately.

In Chapter 190, Charlotte goes weekly to a therapist, and Sammy, Mrs Meyer, Charlotte, and Saint have dinner in Chapter 191. Patch goes to C Level in Chapter 191 to deliver books and comes to Tooms’s cell. In Chapter 192, Tooms wonders why Patch got himself locked up after working so hard to...
