Summary
In Chapter 98 Patch has purchased his mother’s house while he continues his work in the mines. Misty has taken a year off to travel. Tooms has been sentenced to death even though a body has never been found. Callie’s blood has been found at the crime scene. Saint has been unable to get in to see Tooms despite numerous requests, and Patch writes dozens of letters to him with no response. Tooms will not even speak to lawyers.
In Chapter 99, Saint has turned down her acceptance to the Ivy Leagues. She now works with him, and it is Saint who finds Ivy dead on her floor. Saint thinks that it is possible that Grace was a figment of Patch’s imagination. They do not even know the extent of what happened to Patch while he was in captivity. One fact...
