Summary

Jimmy failed his veterinarian exams, and Norma tells Saint that “anger is misplaced fear” (298). Jimmy punches the refrigerator after Saint tells him why she is in Kansas. She likes having space to herself in Kansas, and she listens to Patch’s tapes in the evenings. Himes has given Saint access to FBI resources to track down Grace if she will help them find Patch. Patch goes to rob another bank in Chapter 118 but decides not to take anything when he learns about the struggles of the people in the community. In Chapter 119, Jimmy wants Saint to come home. Patch calls and wants to know if Jimmy is treating Saint well. Patch further tells her that he is searching, not running away. He knows that she will take him down if it comes to that.
