Chapter 19 Summary

Alone and under attack, Blair fights for her life. She takes out two vampires before they are fully emerged from the ground, but there are still eight tough, seasoned vampire soldiers. She fights with all her might, skill and will. She loses the use of her left arm, loses her wooden stake and her crosses in the mayhem. Every time she falls, she is back up and after her attackers until there are only three left. At that point Blair is hurt badly and without weapons. She can only hope that Larkin can take care of the remaining three when he returns. Then, through her burred vision, Blair sees Lora, the French vampire.
