Moira is infuriated with Cian and leaving Larkin to address the people of Geall in the arena, she storms after Cian. She remonstrates him, telling him that he had no right to kill the second vampire. Cian's anger is even colder. He proves, by touching Moira's injured side that she was in no condition to take on the second vampire. Their encounter ends with a very angry and passionate kiss, witnessed by Glenna, who tells Blair.
