Chapter 7 Summary

As a hawk, Larkin sets off for Lilith's hideout to see what he learn. As Larkin circles over the house, he sees the vampire's van. A side job only, but Larkin lands, changes into a unicorn and punctures the tires of the van, since Blair had told him the function of the tires. He continues on his flight as a hawk and uses the solitude to think about Blair. She is such a mix of hard and soft, of strength and openness. She is a mystery to him, but he finds it very appealing. Approaching Lilith's lair, Larkin is initially alarmed because he sees a woman and a boy on the beach in the moonlight and fears for their safety until he sees that the woman is Lilith, and the boy is her vampire son, Davey. Davey was only six when Lilith changed him into a vampire...
