Chapter 5 Summary
Eva wakes up the next morning with a hangover. Cary points out a package that arrived for her. it's a bottle of "hangover cure" from Gideon with his business card and a note to call him with his phone number. She drinks it and tells Cary about her and Gideon's arrangement. Then she and Cary head off to the spa.
Cary asks Monica if she knows Gideon. Monica says he's a ladies' man with good taste that is the twenty0fifth wealthiest man on the Forbes list. Cary divulges that he's interested in Eva. Monica says something to Eva about not telling her and Eva tells her mother not to embarrass her. Eva isn't looking forward to attending the abused children's charity tonight. She knows her parents champion for these events because it relates to her. after the spa, Cary and Monica drop Eva off while they go shopping for cufflinks...
