Summary

In Chapter 5, everyone is shocked. Snowfall wonders why Queen Glacier did not use the opal ring, tiara, and wrist bands during a war that had raged for decades. Snowfall immediately feels powerful. Tsunami says they have arrived in “the worst kingdom” and the first dragon they encountered is “the queen of grumps” (65). Lynx argues that Snowfall is a “GREAT queen and this is the best kingdom and nobody invited you here to insult us” (65). Snowfall directs them around the Ice Cliff – the magic line that only IceWings can cross. Lynx begins to provide melted snow for drinking and Snowfall arranges for food though some of the dragons do not eat meat. Snowfall begins to think the dragons would not survive in the Ice Kingdom, meaning they were probably not trying to take this as their own land, but feels they should have stayed...
