Medford is the city where Gwen DeLancy was told to settle and wait for a man who will arrive in town covered in blood. Gwen lives in the lower quarter of the town where the poor live. She makes her living as a prostitute as she waits for the arrival of the man she is supposed to help. After a life threatening experience, Gwen and her friends leave the tavern where they work as prostitutes and find shelter in an abandoned inn.
