Summary

In Chapter 17, the trip to the Crown Tower is different this time around for Royce. There are riders everywhere. He has never returned to the site of one of his crimes days after committing the crime. He had planned the job carefully before knowing all of the routines of the people, but now it was chaos. Royce believes Hadrian to be an idiot and wonders why Arcadius wants them to work together. When Arcadius had paid to get Royce out of prison, he thought he wanted a killer to exact revenge on someone. Instead the man wanted to educate him. He has never understood Arcadius’ motive. Nothing made since on this job.
