Summary

In Chapter 21, Coral is summoned to the castle on business. Auklet rushes to hug Turtle as they leave. Turtle suddenly remembers the piece of coral and commands it to find Anemone. He arrives at the Island Palace where the Talons of Power ceremony is held. Turtle says he is worried Darkstalker enchanted Anemone to kill Coral, and perhaps others. She says she does not need an enchantment to want to do that. Turtle says it seems like Darkstalker is seeking revenge for the SeaWing Fathom's betrayal. Anemone admits it is possible, but says the important thing is that Darkstalker will have to respect her if she is queen, “and if that's what he was hoping for, maybe he'll be proud of me, too” (216).
