Summary

In Chapter 7, Turtle follows. Stonemover is an animus NightWing who enchanted his scales to turn to stone in an effort to save his soul, and the result is that he can no longer move. There is a pool of blood around Stonemover. Anemone grabs a nearby bone, enchants it to find the dragon who attacked Stonemover, and runs away. Turtle considers trying to heal Stonemover but decides he needs to stay hidden to stay safe. Darkstalker heals him. Stonemover panics when he learns Darkstalker's magic healed him. Stonemover says he cannot trust himself. Moon says Darkstalker does not have the right to “help” someone against their will. Stonemover wants to remain encased in stone and Darkstalker performs the spell. Anemone returns with Flame. He says Stonemover lied when he refused to heal Flame's scar.
