Summary

In Chapter 2, Turtle puts the stick in his pouch. He thinks about his tendency to enchant ordinary objects and that he sometimes loses them. Turtle remembers arriving at Jade Mountain Academy. He felt that he could blend in because no one knew him. He also planned to keep an eye on his younger sister, Anemone. Turtle arrives at the underground lake in the caves of the school and finds dragons swimming there, including his siblings Pike and Anemone. Turtle tells Anemone she is in danger but she refuses to consider going home where she had been literally harnessed to her mother, Queen Coral. Turtle reveals that Darkstalker is alive and Anemone, who has animus power, is thrilled at the idea of meeting another animus dragon.
