Alexandra was miserable by the third week after her debut. At the Donleigh's ball, Jordan's grandmother urged a man named Lord Ponsonby to dance with Alexandra. He was a wealthy and prosperous man, who needed a wife. When Alexandra found out about his intentions she quickly retreated and tried to get away from him.
