Chapter 12 Summary

Mark Petrie, carrying a stake and a small gun, sneaks up on the Marsten House and he sees Susan standing in the woods holding a stake and watching the house. He surmises that she knows about the vampires, so he reaches out, puts his hand on her shoulder, and greets her and they talk. He tells her that Danny Glick is a vampire and that Danny came to him last night and tried to bite him. At first, Susan is skeptical, but then she realizes he is telling the truth. He tells her that he is planning to kill the vampire who is in the Marsten House. Susan decides to go with him, and they sneak up to the house together. He breaks the lock on the shutters, opens the shutters, breaks the window, and opens the window. They crawl into the house...
