Summary

Part 2 is titled In the Claws of the Clouds. In Chapter 10, Deathbringer suggests they seek out a group called the Talons of Peace. The group was founded in an effort to end a lengthy civil war, and some are no longer welcome among their own tribes. Glory acknowledges that she has no authority over Winter or Qibli, but she has reservations about allowing Qibli and Moon to accompany them. In the following conversation, Qibli, Moon, and Kinkajou argue in favor of going with Winter while Winter says they are not coming. Their arguments include that they are Winter's best friends, that Glory was part of a group on a dangerous quest when she was young, and that they can possibly rescue Hailstorm without being seen.
